"Prevalent in this century
is a growing number of American artists who are preserving our
continent in works of art as pieces of it are being simultaneously
destroyed. Randel Rogers, whose inspiration comes primarily
from her immediate environment... and reminds us to revere our
endangered mother earth.
Her paintings capture the different
times of the day and the changes of the seasons with emotional
drama and visual harmony. Her compositions combine grand,
sweeping passages with smaller, animated brushstrokes.
We are reminded of both the Realists, the Impressionists, and
Cezanne, a Post-Impressionist. Neither completely realistic,
nor completely abstract, Rogers creates a sense of having just
caught a fleeting moment on canvas. She captures the poetry of
the moment, filling her vistas with gravity and weight
without losing the spontaneity and informality..."
